In the Gita, Krsna personally tells us the secret to understanding Him:
“One can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, only by devotional service . . .” (Bg. 18.55)
Krsna is a real person who responds to and is controlled bhakti, loving devotional service.
On the other hand, Krsna doesn’t appreciate being analyzed (jnana), utilized (karma), or categorized (sankhya).
Krsna tells His dear devotee, Uddhava:
“My dear Uddhava, the unalloyed devotional service rendered to Me by My devotees brings Me under their control. I cannot be thus controlled by those engaged in mystic yoga, Sankhya philosophy, pious work, Vedic study, austerity or renunciation.” (Bhag. 11.14.20)
Today, Krsna, I pray to chant your divine names with love while remaining constantly engaged in the service of your servants.
