Bhakti yogis move things out of their lives that are unfavorable to their spiritual practices by replacing them with things that are favorable.
“For example, moving a full set of Srila Prabhupada’s books into one’s home might require one to make room for them by getting rid of some other things that one doesn’t need. Similarly, to chant at least sixteen rounds of japa each day, one may have to rearrange one’s already busy schedule to make enough time to do so.
Such elimination of what’s unfavorable and acceptance of what’s favorable for one’s spiritual progress are two principles out of six on the path of surrender.
