Vrndavana
This morning my travel phone, which works with a sim card, displayed the message, “No service.” (For some reason the network was down for a few hours.)
As I continued with my day, the ominous words, “No service,” stuck in my mind and I shuddered when I thought what my life would be without service to Krishna.
When we chant Hare Krsna, we are asking Radha and Krishna to please engage us in Their service.
Whatever service we get, even if it at first seems insignificant, is divinely arranged and bestowed by Krishna and we should therefore, never take it for granted.
“Krishna consciousness, devotional service to Krishna, is the ocean of eternal bliss. In comparison to this eternal bliss, the so-called happiness of society, friendship and love is simply useless and insignificant. One should therefore not be attached to temporary things. One should take to Krishna consciousness and become eternally happy.” (SB 7.7.45)
