The spiritual world is the realm of complete freedom, beyond the laws and restrictions of the material world. It is my choice alone whether or not to go to that realm; Krsna does not force me to live in either the material or spiritual realm. I volunteer.
Similarly, no circumstance or person in this material world can check me from going to Krsna, or from practicing the process of devotional service, when I am determined to do so.
By regularly hearing from sastra and from the lips of pure devotees, one’s determination to return to the spiritual realm becomes firm and unstoppable.
A person who has developed such inner determination is outwardly strict in the process of pure devotional service, especially hearing & chanting.
As I exercise my free will to practice devotional service, Krsna reciprocates, giving me guidance from within and from without.
