The mantras one receives from the spiritual master at the time of second initiation are songs from the spiritual world. These songs are utterly enchanting and attractive and act like spiritual ropes, drawing the mind and heart of the devotee back to Krsna in Goloka Vrndavana.
A disciple who is fortunate to receive these divine mantras and who meditates upon them carefully three times a day, will soon sense their potency and savor their sweetness.
The means for reawakening our confidential, loving relationship with Krsna includes receiving, worshiping and relishing the gayatri and other vaisnava mantras.
May my mind and heart be pulled to Krsna by these divine mantras.
A meditation on Krsna from the Hari Bhakti Vilas:
“On the jewel-inlaid floor is an exquisite asana in the form of an eight-petalled lotus tinted the color of dawn. In the center, as resplendent as the rising sun, sits Lord Mukunda in a comfortable pose.
He shines like a brilliant, dark sapphire, as deep black as lamp-black, as dark as a mountain of monsoon clouds, as delicate as a blue lotus. On his black mass of hair, which is thick, glossy, and curled, sits a luminous peacock feather.”
WithgGratitude and affection,

Vaisesika Dasa
