The word enthusiasm is based on the word, “theos,” God. Etymologically, enthusiasm comes from a Latin word that means, inspired by God .
In the Gita, Krishna– speaking about those who express enthusiasm to serve Him – says: “To show them special mercy, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.”
As humans we can choose to be enthusiastic. When we apply our enthusiasm to serving Krishna , He reciprocates with us from within our hearts, giving us even more to be enthusiastic about.
