Lord Caitanya’s universal teaching – supported by all Vedic literature — is that by taking shelter of a Vaisnava, following his directions, and learning the science of Krsna consciousness, even a lowly person can attain the topmost position of spiritual life. A person thus elevated to the spiritual platform, who knows the science of Krsna can become a spiritual master and deliver others.
Lord Caitanya’s asked everyone to take up such work thus:
“Distribute this Krsna consciousness movement all over the world. Let people eat these fruits and ultimately become free from old age and death.” (Cc Adi 9.39)
“Instruct everyone to follow the orders of Lord Sri Krsna as they are given in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam. In this way become a spiritual master and try to liberate everyone in this land.”(Cc Madhya 7.128)
